KATY CARMICHAEL

Katy Carmichael is co-artistic director of Theatre Damfino. She directed Mayday Mayday (Bristol Old Vic UK tour, Edinburgh, New York), The Little Table of Delights (a theatrical tasting for children in five acts) and The Table of Delights (both at Bristol Old Vic) and the company's previous works: Frankenspine - My Big Break (Bristol Old Vic) and Orpheus and the Furies (St. Paul's Church Crypt, Bristol).

As an actress, she has worked with Kneehigh in Tristan and Yseult (Sydney, New Zealand and the U.S.). She played opposite Steven Berkoff in his Sturm und Drang / Brighton Beach Scumbag (London Riverside Studios). Other theatre credits include The Beaux Stratagem (Bristol Old Vic), The Fall Guy, The Count of Monte Cristo and Isolated Children (Manchester Royal Exchange), Happy Valley (Liverpool Everyman) and Leatherface (The Gate).

Television work includes Jimmy Mcgovern's Moving On, the BAFTA nominated sitcom Spaced, Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, The Infinite Worlds Of HG Wells, Casualty, Cutting It, Death of a Salesman, Clocking Off, Liverpool One, And The Beat Goes On, Hex, Men of The World, Paul Merton's Galton and Simpson series, One Foot In the Grave, Doctors, Scarlett, Dennis Potter's Karaoke/Cold Lazarus, Starstruck and Bread. Her film appearances include an adaptation of Martin Amis's Dead Babies, In The Bleak Mid Winter, Bookcruncher and Origin.

TRISTAN STURROCK

Tristan Sturrock is co-artistic director of Theatre Damfino. Mayday Mayday (St Ann's Warehouse New York, Spoleto festival USA) was his first solo show with the company. An earlier version of the work, Frankenspine - My Big Break, was developed at Bristol Old Vic. Other Theatre Damfino works include Orpheus and the Furies, The Table of Delights and The Little Table of Delights (Bristol Old Vic).

He has performed with Kneehigh Theatre for over 25 years. His work with the company includes Rebecca, Brief Encounter (West End, at St. Ann's Warehouse and on Broadway), Don John (Bristol, Leeds Playhouse, Birmingham Rep), A Matter of Life and Death, The Riot (National Theatre), Tristan and Yseult (National Theatre, UK tour, Sydney and the U.S.), The King of Prussia (Donmar), Tregeagle, Ship of Fools, Peer Gynt, Carmen, Cyborg, The Ashmaid, Danger My Ally and Windfall. Other theatre credits: 101 Dalmatians (Tobacco Factory), The Mysteries Spanish Tragedy (RSC), As You Like It, Bring Me Sunshine (Royal Exchange), Edward II and Blue Remembered Hills (Sheffield Crucible), The Beaux Stratagem and Doll's Heart (Bristol Old Vic), An Oak Tree (Plymouth Theatre Royal), Salome (Riverside Studios), Jerusalem Syndrome and The Station (Soho Theatre).

He is an associate artist at Bristol Old Vic, where his work includes Peter Pan, Coram Boy, Treasure Island, Handel's Messiah, The Little Mermaid, Juliet and her Romeo and Faraway. He was the creative advisor on The Nine Lessons of Caliban and The Breadhorse with Firebird Theatre.

Television work includes Poldark, Jamaica Inn, The Best of Men, The Borgias, The Queen, Garrow's Law, Doc Martin, Rescue Me, Holby City, The Bill, Menace, Liverpool One, Bad Girls, The Royal, The Project, Bodily Harm, Wycliffe and The New Adventures of Robin Hood; and the film Saving Grace.
